Robert Joseph Ingram, 85, passed away at his home Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Funeral will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Bob was born August 13, 1933 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Hugh Esker and Almeda (McDaniel) Ingram. He quit school in the 8th grade to work for the family. He met Peggy Odom and married her on February 21, 1953 and they began Ingram Texaco in 1955 on Fourth Street. He started H.I.M. Producers, an oilfield company, in 1957. He retired from the station in 1980, and from his oilfield company in the early 90's. He and Peggy then worked on the farm and travelled with their grandchildren. He was always honest and fair to everyone. Bob had the most infectious smile. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include; daughter, Bobette Bone and husband Mike of Sulphur, LA.; son, Lucky Ingram and wife Vonne of Graham; sister, Mary Reed Bilberry and husband Jack of Graham; brother, Bill Ingram and wife Nena of Odessa; four grandchildren, Melody Ingram of Graham, Amber Nordstrom and husband Will of Sulphur, LA., Harmony Chestnut and husband J.B. of Graham, and Mitch Bone of Charleston, SC; great grandchildren, Bentley Nordstrom of Sulphur, LA and Duke Chestnut of Graham; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ingram, son, Ricky Ingram, sister Eileen Wallace, and brothers, Allen Ingram, Myrle Ingram, and Ronald Ingram.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the caregivers of Seniorally Yours, including Olida Kennedy-Price, Trish Hester, Mallory Grooms, and Robin Breeden.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.
