Anita Kay Mahan

Anita Kay Mahan, 84, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 in Denton. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.

Anita was born July 4, 1942 in Graham to the late Mary Mae Thomas and Jesse Charles Hamer, Jr. She married William David “Bill” Mahan on August 27, 1967 and he preceded her in death June 21, 2012. She loved the Lord, loved family gatherings and was proud of all her grandchildren. Anita also liked to garden with her husband and do quilt making for the family as well as many other crafts.

Survivors include: son, Mark Mahan and wife Dione of Krum, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Mahan and wife, Dalilah, Elena Bradley and husband, Russel and Nathaniel Mahan and wife, Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Lucas Mahan, Jake Dollar, Madison Hoover, Evelyn Bradley and Stella Bradley; sister, Carole Parker of Graham; brother-in-law, Olan Snider of Graham.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Snider.
