Arthur Jay Green II, age 71, passed away at his home in Graham on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
Arthur was born on July 19, 1951 in Graham to Arthur Jay Green Sr. and Mary (Mahan) Clayton. He married Brenda Tyler on May 18, 1984. He worked as a diesel mechanic.
Arthur graduated Jacksboro High School in 1969. Where he later attended Detroit Diesel Mechanic School in Detroit Michigan. He was a very hard-working man who stayed dedicated to his diesel mechanic work all of his life until he retired.
Arthur, pawpaw, AJ, and Speedy were the names he was known by to those who knew & loved him. He had a selfless demeanor and always put everyone else before himself. He was loved by his wife Brenda, who he treated like a queen. Arthur dearly loved his kids and grandkids.
Once retirement he enjoyed spending time at home and with family. Arthur was a homebody; he didn’t like to spend the night anywhere away from home. He liked to spend his Sunday’s watching golf. He enjoyed spending time by the tank helping grandkids fish. He also enjoyed frying up his famous “taters” for his grandchildren and everyone present, whether you were hungry or not.
Arthur touched countless lives and will be greatly missed by his friends and loved ones.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Brenda Green of Graham; children, Arthur Jay Green III of Wichita Falls, Marty Keith Green of Odessa, Chris Isbell and wife Ashley of Graham, and Crystal Medlin and husband Kelley of Weatherford; mother, Mary Clayton of Independence, Kansas; along with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Henning of Independence, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Arthur Jay Green Sr, and stepfather, Bruce Clayton.
