Bessie Marie McKenna

Bessie Marie Crabtree McKenna of Graham, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 2 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Bessie was born November 20, 1932 in Goree to Donnie and Sylvia (Myers) Crabtree. She was the second child of seven children. She had four brothers and two sisters. Bessie moved to Newcastle, met and married Richard McKenna, Sr. After traveling all over with her husband they decided to make Graham their home. She worked at GMI for ten years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Crabtree of Denison, her sister, Bonnie Loggins of Hurst; daughter-in-law, Yevette McKenna of Graham, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, a niece, a great niece, great great niece and nephew, a step granddaughter and four step great grandsons.

Bessie was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, son, Richard McKenna, Jr., brothers, Jay Crabtree, Buddy Crabtree, and Jerry Crabtree, and sister, Patsy Moody.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
