William Edgar "Bill" Isham, 76, passed away peacefully Friday, August 7, 2026 in Fort Belknap, Texas.
Born in Mexia, Texas, to Hazel and Otis Isham, Bill had a lifelong love of the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and trail riding. After retiring from CF Freight, he began a second career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where he later retired. Bill will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of a good debate, and his passion for the organizations and hobbies he enjoyed. He served as president of the Longview Archery Club, and was a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Young County Sheriff’s Posse, and the Single Action Shooting Society. A devoted fan of John Wayne, one of his favorite quotes was, 'Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid.'
He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Linda Isham; his brother Royce Isham; his children James Isham and wife April, Jeff Isham, Brandi Collins and husband Curtiss, Blake Rose, Skyla Proffitt, and Trishell Rose. He was a proud grandfather to Cami Isham, Brianna Isham, Austin Kerr, Brenton Isham and wife Natalie, Preston Collins, Jacob Collins, Esmee Villanueva Collins, Payton Collins, Haley Hobbs and husband Dusty. Along with many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. A private burial will take place at a later date.
