Billie Snowden

Billie David Snowden, 86, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 in Graham. Memorial service will be held August 10, 2024.

 Bill was born August 6, 1937 in Dallas, Tx to the late Willie Lee Snowden and Leslie Margaret (Spurrier) Snowden.

 Bill was a Strong, Independent man. When he was young he was not scared to put his foot down. He stood up for what he believed in. He was the type of man that would defend his family even if that meant putting himself in danger. He always tried to be the bigger person. His love for his family was just as big as his love for music. This man had stories to tell for days! From his time as a child to Hanging out with Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis. He would tell us about the time he was almost on an NFL team, He made it to a week before It was time to get fitted for Jerseys to the time He and his friends were headed to New Mexico and got arrested for Goofing around. His Love for His wife and his family was nothing more than Generous. His home was everyone's Home. Known for his sweet, caring, kind, and generous nature, Bill was beloved by all who knew him. I really don’t know how to put into words what an extraordinary man he was. He was so full of love and life and energy and joy. He will be dearly missed by anyone he ever encountered and his family will continue to share his legacy!

 Survivors include: daughters, Kathrine Snowden, Jeri Leach, Dee Myers, and Gina Echols; sons, Billy Snowden and James Ross; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by wife, Ruby Clara Snowden and a daughter, Christine Horton.
