Billy J. Norwood

Billy J. Norwood, 92, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 in Wichita Falls. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Abundant Life Center. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Billy was born January 27, 1933 in Hefner to the late James Elmer and Celeste Jane (Deathridge) Norwood. He married Willie Jo Duncan on July 25, 1958 in Seymour and she preceded him in death February 26, 2018. Billy moved to Graham in 1969 from Seymour. He was a member of Abundant Life Center. Billy was a former construction employee for Camp Construction and Stephens Company in Graham.

Survivors include; daughter, Pamela Rittenhouse and husband Ron of Wichita Falls; son, Stephen Norwood of Graham; sister, Lillie Etta Webb of Bennington, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Summer, William, Lauren, Lindsay, Preston, and A.J. Rittenhouse and Jami Norwood; ten great grandchildren, Jace and Ellie Rittenhouse, Emmy Stanley, Sadie, Benjamin, Isabella Skinner, Wayland and Isaiah Rittenhouse, Rylan and Remington McHargue.

He was preceded in death by wife, parents, and 11 siblings.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
