Bobby Gene McGehee

Bobby Gene McGehee, 94, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Jacksboro.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Bobby was born December 9, 1928 in Graham to the late James Dewey and Edith (Meyers) McGehee.  He married Mildred Dene Holder and she preceded him in death October 20, 2012.  Bobby worked for JAC Electric in Bluegrove and was a member of Hudson Chapel in Graham and attended Bryson Methodist Church.  He loved roller skating, water skiing, riding motorcycles, car racing, being Bobby D’s pit crew, RVing after retirement, being with family and attending grandkid’s activities.

Survivors include; daughters, Suella Gabel and husband David of North Richland Hills, Earl Dene Clayton of Bryson, and Becky Hatfield and husband, Scottie of Bryson; daughter-in-law, Lisa McGehee of Drummond, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by son, Bobby D. McGehee, sisters, Joyce McGehee and Margie Johnson, brothers, Carl McGehee and James McGehee, and son-in-law, Gary Clayton.

Memorials may be made to the Young County Humane Society and Bryson Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
