Bobbye E. Riggs

Bobbye Riggs, 75, passed away at her home in Graham Wednesday October 1, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.

Bobbye was born September 14, 1950 in Miami, Florida to the late Joyce Marion (Davis) Copenhaver and Lyle Griffy Copenhaver. She married John D. Riggs, Sr., May 17, 1980 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2016. Bobbye was the former owner of Emerald House in Graham. She was employed by Newton’s Jewelry as a sales associate until it closed and was currently employed by Lee’s Interiors.

Survivors include; sister, Bootsie Ackerman of Fayetteville, AR.; brothers, Lyle Copenhaver, Jr. of Eustis, FL. and David Bruce Copenhaver of Cordova, TN.; John D. Riggs, Sr. children, John D. Riggs, Jr. of Graham, Richard M. Riggs of Allen, Deborah Riggs Tinz of Lufkin, and Robert Ryerson Riggs of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her good friends of Graham.

Bobbye was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Michael Barry Copenhaver.
