Our Mother passed away at Hunt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, Texas on Friday, May 12th, 2017. Mother was born on November 17th, 1938 to Roy Mason Carter and Susan Viola Morris Carter in Peniel, Texas. She had two older sisters, Iva Lee Carter Roberts and Anita Carter Wallace, as well one younger brother, Roy “Bud” Mason Carter, Jr. Mother married Jett Urbin Wilemon on August 11th, 1956. Their marriage lasted nineteen years, until Jett’s passing in 1975. On May 12th, 1978, she married Jesse Leroy Moses. Their marriage lasted thirty-eight years, until Jesse’s passing on September 11, 2016.
Mother was a woman of faith and attended church all of her life. She most recently attended First Baptist Church in Graham, Texas and prior to that attended AldersgateChurch in Greenville, Texas (now Christ Community Church) and Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville, Texas.
Mother battled and overcame Hodgkin-Lymphoma several decades ago. It was her prayer that she would survive long enough to see her children grown and was blessed by God to see not only her grandchildren born, but her great-grandchildren come into this world.
Our hearts ache at her passing, but we rejoice that she has been reunited with her God and the loved ones that preceded her into eternity. She has indeed entered into her reward, promised by the One who is Faithful and True.
Mother is survived by one sister, Iva Lee Roberts, of Greenville, Texas. She is also survived by her children, Robin and Mike Gann of Greenville, Texas, Keith and Charylcie Wilemon of Denton, Texas, Don and Margarita Moses of Quinlan, Texas, Gary Moses of Quinlan, Texas and Darrell and Erin Moses of Lone Oak, Texas.
