Cletus Dell Moore

Cletus Moore passed from this life on Friday May 8, 2026 at the age of 70. Family Visitation will be Friday May 15, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday May 16, 2026 at McAdams Cemetery at PK Lake. Celebration of Life will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday May 16, 2026 at Loving Highway Church of Christ in Graham.  Because Cletus loved cowboy boots, jeans, and the color purple, please feel free to wear any of these as a way to honor him.

Cletus Dell Moore was born in Lubbock, TX July 25, 1955 to Burney Lee and Earline Sansing Moore. Cletus grew up on their family farm in Dimmit, TX. and graduated from Dimmit High School in 1973. He later moved to Dalhart, TX where he began farming on his own. Several years later at church in Dalhart, Cletus met the love of his life Karen Ward and married December 14, 1985 in Wellington, TX. Three kids later, Cletus and Karen decided to leave farming and Cletus pursued other careers. During that time, their fourth child arrived and their family became complete. Cletus later received his real estate license where he remained an agent with Century 21 Judge Fite for the last 18 years. Cletus was very involved in their church homes over the years with the last few being at Loving Highway Church of Christ, including serving as a Bible class teacher, deacon, elder, and on various ministry teams. He served Jesus by serving others through the daily sacrifices he made for his family and those around him. He was known for his generous and selfless spirit, always putting others above himself. He and Karen have seven beautiful grandchildren whom he adored and who adored him. Cletus enjoyed working with his hands and was often building, renovating, and working/enjoying the outdoors.

Cletus is survived by his wife of 40 years Karen Moore of Graford; four children, Leland Dell and wife Jaylee of Weatherford, Laynee Danielle and husband Jonathan Bradford of Graford, Nathaniel Lawrence and wife Amber of Abilene, and Alexis Nicole of Lubbock; older brothers, Gary Lane and wife Judy of Sunray and Don LaWayne and wife Paralyn of Canyon; brother-in-law Kevin Ward and wife Rachelle of Kaysville, UT, as well as several nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren, Kase Rhett, Logan Layne, Hallie June, Hank Kallan, Asher William, Declan Lee and Evelyn Elizabeth. His legacy will live on in those who love him.

Cletus was preceded in death by his parents B.L. and Earline Moore and his older brother Leland Darrell Moore.
