Constance Elizabeth Birdwell Seay “Connie”, 74, of Graham, TX, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2026.
Connie was born on August 28, 1951, in Graham, TX, to George Calvin Birdwell and Wanda Birdwell. She was a lifelong resident of Graham, TX, and someone who left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
If you knew Connie, you knew her love for Jesus. Her faith was strong, steady, and evident in the way she lived her life every single day. She didn’t just talk about her faith—she lived it, and she shared that love with everyone around her.
She loved people deeply. Whether you were family, a friend, or someone she had just met, you felt seen, cared for, and welcomed in her presence.
Throughout her life, Connie worked in several roles, including managing Dairy Queen and working as a hairdresser for many years. But her favorite role by far was caring for children. She had a special love for babysitting and nurturing kids, and she treated each one like her own. Taking care of others—especially children—brought her true joy.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Hanks and wife Linda of Emory, TX, and Jason Hanks and wife Missy of Graham, TX; her sister, Carol Chestnut and husband Ronnie of Graham, TX; her sister-in-law, Caren Birdwell of Graham, TX; and her grandchildren, Alex Arch of San Antonio, TX, Jacob Arch of Fort Worth, TX, and Andrew Hanks of Emory, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Seay; her parents, George Birdwell Sr. and Wanda Birdwell; and her brother, George Birdwell Jr.
Connie’s legacy is one of faith, love, and compassion. She poured into others, pointed people to Jesus, and left this world better than she found it.
A service celebrating Connie’s life will be held at Oak Street Baptist Church in Graham, TX, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, with Jason Hanks and Jeff Gleason officiating.
The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, love, and support during this time.
Memorials may be made to Young County Humane Society or Beyond Faith Hospice.
