David Lee Heath

David Lee Heath, 83, passed away Friday May 30, 2025 in Graham. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Friday June 6, 2025 at First Baptist Church, burial will follow in Gooseneck Cemetery in Young County; Matt Jeffreys will be officiating.

David was born January 6, 1942 in Kilgore to the late Louise (Graham) Heath and Robert Lynn Heath. His family moved to Graham in 1946. He married Janice Gibbs February 26, 1966 in Graham. David was a member of a bluegrass band and a gospel band later in life, performing at many local churches. He was a longtime resident of Graham before moving to Pflugerville in 1999 and returning this year to Graham. David was a board member for Senior Access and Caritas Austin. He loved God, his family and his Texas Tech Red Raiders. David was Blessed to be an ordained Deacon in the Baptist Church, a Marine Veteran, and an alma mater of Texas Tech.

Survivors include; wife, Janice Heath of Graham; son, Jason Heath and wife Heidi of O'Fallon, Illinois; grandsons, Josh, Ryan, and Logan Heath; daughter, Amy Assmann and husband Rick of Round Rock, Texas; grandson Mason Huff; granddaughter, Hadley Huff; sisters, Betty Morton of Plainview, Texas, and Shirley Jeffreys and husband Dale of Graham; numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends also survive including his neighbors in Pflugerville. Special thanks to nephews, Dennis and wife Andy Heath, Lloyd D. and wife Brenda Morton.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eddie Heath, sister-in-law Elaine Heath, brother-in-law Lloyd Morton.
