David Ponder, Sr.

David Ponder, Sr., 74, passed away Saturday May 23, 2026 in Midland. Viewing will be Friday May 29, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham, TX. Graveside funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 30, 2026 at Rock Creek Cemetery at Bryson, TX in Jack County. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home Graham.

David was born June 6, 1951 in Graham to the late Mary Frances (Smith) Ponder and Bobby Ray Ponder. David married Valerie Morón November 9, 1974 in Midland. David was an Automation Manager employed with Linco-Electromatic, Inc., Cameron International, and Schlumberger.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Ponder of Midland; son, David Ponder of Midland; brother, James Ponder and wife Paula of Fort Stockton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

David was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Bob Ponder, brothers Frank and Charles Ponder, sister Leshya Foster and niece Jessica Sue Ponder.
