David Price Robinson

David Price Robinson (58), born Dec 28,1967 in Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb 1, 2026, in Graham, Texas. He was born the youngest of four children to the late John Kenneth and Addie Muriel (Thompson) Robinson. He was welcomed by an older sister, Libby Robinson Clifton, an older brother, John Mark Robinson, a sister Mary Robin Robinson Newman, and their black cocker spaniel, Wendy. 

David, or Price, as he was called, married the love of his life Robbin Buford Robinson on Oct 11, 2025. She brought him immense joy in the three months they had together, as laughter and music fed the flames of love. He lived life to its fullest as well as he could. He had a persona that was larger than life and an IQ that matched it. He loved fiercely, fought passionately for those people and ideals he so valued, held to his convictions regardless of the opinions of others, and loved to make people laugh. You might or might not have found his joke humorous in the moment, but he stood by it and wasn’t going to ever admit that it wasn’t really all that funny. His Intelligence, strong-will, compassion, creativity, multi-talents, outspoken self was a delightful change to the ordinary. He didn’t care that he marched to his own drummer because he did it so well, he drew an audience wherever he went, though that was never his purpose. He never met a stranger, and as his late mom would say, he could talk to a fence post if given a chance. He was loved by all who met him. Daivd/ Price was a master chef, especially when it came to preparing meats of various kinds. Grilling was his specialty and he did it extraordinarily well. Most of all though, he loved His Savior, Jesus Christ, and never had a problem telling those he met about the God he served. 

He sang about Jesus, country, and Dr. Pepper. He loved the Texas Rangers, had season tickets and had his dream come true when he was able to attend game one of the World Series with his son and Robbin in 2024. He found such happiness at the Ranger games that he would go as often as he could. He raised his children to root them on to victory along with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Even though he took a great deal of flack for supporting the Steelers while living in Dallas in the 1970’s, he took it on the chin with great pride. He taught his children to treasure and read God’s Word from a very young age and modeled what it means to be a follower of Jesus. He was a tremendous father who loved his two children (and then his grandson) with such an undeniable devotion and passion most children would envy. He never stopped letting them know how proud he was of them and told them every chance he got. Even his nieces and nephews felt his pride in them. He let them know unashamedly that he was proud of what they were doing and who they were. 

Though life wasn’t always easy for him, David/Price, learned to make lemonade out of the lemons he had. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Management and Leadership and soon after, in 2012, he earned his master’s degree in Business Administration at the age of 44. David/Price never let a roadblock keep him from reaching his goals and doing what he wanted to do.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ken, his mother, Addie, his Aunt Kay of California, and his sister-in-law Carolyn Young Robinson. Survivors include his wife of three months, Robbin Buford Robinson of Graham, his son Britton-Caleb Robinson (Rebekah Pettit) of New Market, Tennessee, daughter Austin Elizabeth Robinson (Jacob Scozzafava) of Sevierville, Tennessee, and a 2 year old grandson John William “JW” of New Market, Tennessee. He is also survived by his sister Libby Clifton of Amarillo, Tx (Bruce), brother Mark Robinson (Chellie) of Canton, Tx, sister Robin Newman (Patrick) of McKinney, Texas and several nieces, nephews, (and great nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle Squish”- a name he relished.). To know him was to love him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends until they meet again on Heaven’s shore. No doubt, Jesus met him with open arms, welcoming him to his eternal home. He was a fighter here on earth; now he stands in heaven- a victor.

A celebration of David Price’s life will be held on Friday, Feb 13, 2026, 11:00 am, at Oak Street Baptist Church in Graham.
