Derek Raymond Strother

Derek Raymond Strother, age 31, passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Monday, February 26, 2024. A funeral service will be held at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Derek was born in Graham, Texas on October 27, 1992 to Debra (Woods) and Weldon Ray Stanton.

Derek is survived by his girlfriend, Whitney Gerlt and their children, Cayton and Colten Strother, and a set of twins on the way; parents, Debra and Weldon Ray Stanton of Newcastle; and brother, Jerry Don Strother of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Joe Lindon Stanton.
