Dolores Curry

Dolores Curry, 94, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023.  Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 19, 2023 at Heritage Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Dolores was born October 1, 1928 in Lyons, Kansas to the late Lila May (Zietler) Grotzky and Hugo Grotzky.  She moved to Sterling, Kansas when she was a freshman in high school.  Dolores married Herb Curry, June 12, 1944 in Lyons, KS.  He preceded her in death on December 8, 2008.  Dolores moved to Graham in 1946 from Kansas where she worked as a secretary for Goodyear.  Dolores was a member of Graham Garden Club and Mamie Stewart Garden Club where she served as President of both.  She was an active member of the Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, a Stephen Minister, co-leader of the Samaritans, and worked with Prayers and Squares Ministry.  Dolores was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Dolores loved birds, flowers and gardening.

Survivors include; daughters, Lila Herder of Graham, Jeannie Curry of Oklahoma; son, Herb Curry, Jr. and wife Liz of Creede, CO.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
