Doris Jean Seidel

Doris Jean Seidel (Tipps) died at home on February 21, 2021 in Burleson, TX. She was 78. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her savior Jesus Christ. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jean was born Sept 12, 1942 in Bay City, TX to her parents, Carlos and Edna Tipps. She married Frank Seidel in 1973. The Seidel’s lived in New Mexico and Texas settling in Jacksboro where Frank worked as a mechanic and Jean was an avid artist and enjoyed drawing and painting. She also taught seminary at the LDS Church. She dedicated her time to educating and caring for the children of her church. She was a supportive teacher with a passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jean is survived by her many children: Shirley Cochell, Mary McKenna, Laura and son-in-law David Kelly, Tres and daughter-in-law Heather Seidel, Sarah and son-in-law Thomas Jones Jr., Jacob Seidel, Jessica and son-in-law Jason Filina, and James and daughter-in-law Laurie Seidel, as well as many grand and great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Seidel and daughter Rita Martin.

Jean will be buried in the Indian Mound Cemetery on February 27, 2021.  A grave side service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery. Her Family thanks all those that have helped to celebrate her life.
