Dorothy "Dutch" Bullock

Dorothy “Dutch” Bullock, 84, passed away Saturday September 5, 2026. Visitation will be Tuesday September 8, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 9, 2026 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.

Dorothy Jean, who was also affectionately called Dutch, Dutchie, Aunt Dutchie, and Granny by many, was born February 4, 1942 in Graham to the late Mildred Viola (Hinson) Gilmore and Olan Thaxton Gilmore. She married Larry Bullock February 18, 1961 in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2017. Dutch was a former employee of GMI and a Homemaker. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Dutch will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and humor.

Dutch loved to cook and host and did both exceptionally well. Her family fondly remembers many holidays, get-togethers, and game nights at Dutch and Larry’s house. They would be hard-pressed to pick just one favorite dish Dutch made because she was such a wonderful cook, but Sunday roast at Granny’s was a special family tradition. There was always room at Dutch’s table and she loved to sit and visit over a good cup of coffee. Dutch was the heart of her family and the glue that holds it together. She believed in living simply and loving deeply. In her younger years, she enjoyed working in the vegetable garden alongside her family, canning vegetables, crocheting blankets, camping and fishing at Connor Creek, and long days spent at the ball field watching baseball games.

Dutch had many wonderful attributes. She was a natural caregiver who lovingly cared for her family in their times of need. She was always there to listen and offer advice when needed. She adored her family and especially her grandkids. She was known for being a little ornery and stubborn at times and left her family with a lifetime of memories to smile and laugh about. She was loyal, honest, humble, hardworking, and kind. Dutch set an example of how to live well and how to love others. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Dutch is healed, at peace, and has finally been reunited with her beloved husband, parents, siblings, and those who went before her.

Survivors include; sons, Randy Bullock and Laura of Graham, Rodney Bullock and Carlos Lopez of Springboro Ohio; grandchildren Kayce Bullock and Brent of Graham, Cody Bullock and Brittany of Graham, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; brother, Darrell Gilmore and Sue of Graham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Dutch was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Gray and Modena Ratcliff and brother Grady Gilmore.
