Doyle Morris

Doyle Morris, 88, passed away at his home in Graham Wednesday October 8, 2025 after a long stretch in the hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 19, at 2 pm at Morrison Funeral Home.

Doyle was born June 29, 1937 in Kress, Texas to the late Clara May (Smoot) Morris and Clyde Morris. He married Sandra Silk October 11, 1958 in Durant, OK. Doyle retired from the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers nearly 30 years ago. Doyle helped to build many of the prominent buildings in the Dallas Skyline and several other large cities in the United States and London, England over his career. After retirement he continued building and began work on their country home in Rising Star, TX that he affectionately named “Oleo Acres”. Doyle liked to tell everyone that the name was because “it was just a small spread.” He and Sandra moved to Graham in June of this year at the prompting of their son and daughter-in-law, who also live in Graham.

Survivors include; wife, Sandra Morris of Graham; son, Wesley Morris and wife Katy of Graham; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Sturch and Anne Morris both of McKinney.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Robbie Morris, Larry Morris, and Wayne Morris; brothers: Clyde Morris, Jr., Charles Morris, Robert Morris, Roland Morris, James (Jim) Morris; and grandson Jeremy Morris.
