Eddie Grimes

Eddie Ellis Grimes, 94, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Graham. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in Elison Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Eddie was born February 20, 1932 in Denton County to the late Eddie Clyde and Letha Marie (Hamer) Grimes. He married Bonalin Emma Lovell March 17, 1973 in Dallas County and she preceded him in death. Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army and was a regional manager for convenience stores. Eddie loved the Lord, his family, horse races and football, especially the Graham Steers.

Survivors include: daughters, Sandra Kaye McDonald of Loveland, Colorado, Janice Lynn Minyard of Big Sandy and Joy Dee Buckels and husband, Stephen Frank of New Braunfels; nieces and nephews, Alton Blake Grimes and Jana of Mabank, Eddie Carl Gimes and Theresia of Graham, Janice Lee Snow of Graham, and Katherine Grimes Robertson of Camden, Arkansas; numerous great nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother, Alton Arnold Grimes and sister-in-law, Mary Jack Grimes.
