Eleanor “Tinka” Stovall, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Graham Tuesday May 27, 2025. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday June 2, 2025 at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Tinka was born September 28, 1933 in New York City to the late Elizabeth (Braswell) Frolich and Alfred Frolich. She grew up in Elizabeth City North Carolina with her sister Mary. Tinka met Norman Stovall when he was based in North Carolina for naval training. They married on October 15, 1954 during hurricane Hazel. Shortly there after they moved to Graham and she spent the next 67 years with Norman hunting, fishing, and hunting arrowheads. Norman preceded her in death on June 22, 2021. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard. Tinka was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include; daughter, Martha Martin and husband David of Possum Kingdom Lake; sons, Norman D. Stovall, III and wife Carli of Graham, Mike Stovall and wife Leslie of Graham; niece Lila Clarke; grandchildren, Sarah Stovall, Norman Stovall, IV and wife Dylan, Suzette Stovall, Zoe Stovall, Vos Stovall, Sheridan Gaton and husband Austin, Peyton Stovall, Caroline Howard and husband Tyler, and Garrison Stovall; ten great grandchildren.
Special heartfelt thanks to Tinka and Norman’s caregivers, Christy Tucker, Star Lewis, Enedina Castro and Jennifer Castro.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the Humane Society of Young County, 120 Craig St., Graham, Texas 76450.
