Ellen Mary Alice (Seban) Pazdro went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 5, 2024 at the age of 91.  

The youngest of 9 children, Ellen was born in Chicago, IL on October 3, 1932 to William and Elsie (Rehder) Seban.  Ellen married Edward John Pazdro on September 13, 1952 and made their home in Chicago and raised their family of three children.  In 1983, they moved to Orland Park, IL where Ellen continued to live until 2019.  Ellen then moved to Colorado with Holley and her husband Larry and then to Texas in 2021.   

Ellen had a strong faith and was an active member of Ashburn Baptist Church and Standing Stones Baptist Church serving as the church librarian as well as in other volunteer positions. She lovingly shared her walk with the Lord and was a humble and faithful prayer warrior evidenced with 34 journals of praise, thanksgiving and prayers for family, friends, pastors, the United States and Israel.

Ellen retired as a Problem Resolution Specialist with the IRS and enjoyed many years assisting taxpayers with questions and resolving any tax issues they might have.  

Ellen always had an active social life. In her early married years, she was a member of a Bunco Club that lasted 40 years, oftentimes sharing the joys and challenges of being young wives raising children.  As she got older, she hosted Thursday afternoon fellowship lunches and led and participated in many Bible Studies. 

She will be remembered as a loving and much-loved mom, grandma and great-grandma, aunt, friend, and follower of Christ.

Ellen is survived by her children Sheryl Cvijanovich, Edward (Antionette) Pazdro, and Holley (Larry) Teaff; her grandchildren Daniel Cvijanovich, Amanda Pazdro, Melissa (Alan) Reno, Jessi (Kris) Stumpf and Tanner (Arianna) Teaff; her many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; her 2 sisters-in-law Beatrice (Herman) Friske and SaraJean (William) Seban; and her many friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward (1996), grandson Matthew Cvijanovich, son-in-law Gregory Holley, son-in-law Michael Cvijanovich, her siblings (Helen Seban, Fred Seban, Adeline Yender, Edna Dinon, Alice Bock, William Seban, Elsie Smith, and Ann Rogul, her cousin Robert Rehder who was raised as a brother, and several nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 with Visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and Service beginning at 10:30 AM at Birchman Baptist Church, 9100 N. Normandale Street, Fort Worth, TX 76116.

The celebration will continue on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 with Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and Service beginning at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 15525 South 73rd Avenue, Orland Park, IL 60462.  Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
