Emily Kay Stout

Emily Kay Stout, beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, and friend, passed away on December 10, 2025 surrounded by love after a courageous and hard-fought battle. Taken far too soon, she leaves behind a family and community forever changed by her absence and forever grateful for the light she brought into their lives.

Born on March 12, 1996 in Dallas Texas. A proud high school and college graduate, Emily built a career in the insurance industry and had recently begun transitioning into project management, a testament to her drive, resilience, and desire to keep growing.

From a young age, Emily’s heart belonged to horses. She loved riding, competing, and embracing the rhythm of country life. She found joy on her farm, tending to her garden, raising chickens, and appreciating the simple beauty of a life lived close to the earth. Gifted with an artistic eye, she often captured the world’s natural wonders through painting, creating pieces that reflected her gentle spirit and appreciation for God’s creation.

In 2010, Emily was saved, and her faith remained a constant source of strength. Most recently, she became a member of Country Road Fellowship Church in Graham, Texas, and she cherished her weekly Bible study, lovingly hosted by her Nanny. Her faith community, along with the prayers surrounding her, helped carry her and her family through some of life’s heaviest moments.

Above all, Emily was the devoted mother of two precious boys, Liam and Andrew, the absolute center of her world. Every choice she made, every sacrifice she offered, every dream she held was rooted in her love for them. She protected them fiercely and loved them with a depth that will forever shape their lives.

Emily was deeply loved by her parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, and extended family and close friends. Those closest to her knew her as someone who fought hard, loved even harder, and never stopped trying — no matter how heavy the world felt. Her strength, kindness, and beautiful spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Emily is survived by her sons, Liam and Andrew; her parents, Steven Stout and Melissa Stout (Ron Carney); her grandparents, Pat Adkins and Benny Stout; her brother, Matthew Stout; cousins, aunts, uncles and many dear family members and friends who will continue to speak her name and keep her memory alive.

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
