Etta Mae Wood

Etta Mae Wood, 86, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Graham.

Etta was born August 21, 1935 in Graham to the late Edward Leslie and Effie Mae (Paris) Holcomb.  She was a phone operator for Southwestern Bell and later enjoyed her time as a nurse for Graham Regional Medical Center.  She loved cooking and the Texas Rangers.

Survivors include: daughter, Janet Abernathy and husband, David of Willis; son, Wayne Wood of Graham; sister, Nevelyn Montgomery of Seymour; grandchildren, Derek, Ronny, Cody, and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Norman Wood and brothers, James Holcomb, C.L. Holcomb, and Carlos Holcomb.
