Fay Adell Heck passed away April 27, 2025 in Graham, Texas at the age of 99. She was born July 19, 1925 in Young County to Leonard and Winnie (Gilmore) Atwood. Memorial service will be Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 11:00a.m. in the First United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Graham High School in 1942. She went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1945 and retired from AT&T in 1979. She married Dana Heck in Wichita Falls, Texas March 2, 1976. After their retirement they moved back to Graham, Texas where they enjoyed life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a Samaritan and belonged to the Kum Duble Sunday School class. She belonged to the Hospital Auxiliary and worked the Gift Shop until she was 90 years old. She was a rancher, loved gardening, made wonderful jellies and beautiful cakes.
She is survived by; son, Bobby Hayes and wife Sandy of Austin, Texas; stepson, Steve Heck of Wichita Falls; stepdaughter, Dia Copeland of Navasota, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Kevin Hayes, Treva Ottendorf and husband Gregg Bottom, Courtney Pesterfield and husband Lee of Lubbock, Texas, Sara Heck of Lubbock, Texas, Michael Heck and wife Amber of Keller, Texas and Steve Reed. She is also survived by one beloved great-granddaughter Bryn Ottendorf. Her surviving sister is Betty Roberts. She is preceded in death by husband, her parents, two grandsons Scott and Dean Hayes, and her brother Jack Atwood and wife, Marie and Bill Atwood and wife Charlene, brother-in-law Max Roberts and daughter-in-law Debbie Heck.
