Gary L. McElreath

Gary L. McElreath, 79, passed away Wednesday August 12, 2026 at his home. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday August 17, 2026 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Gary’s ashes will be interred at Pioneer Cemetery at a later date.

Gary was born March 2, 1947 in Wichita Falls to the late Johnnie Mae (King) McElreath and Jessie Andrew McElreath. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army.  He married Deborah Patrick, November 23, 1971 in Graham. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2014. Gary was a resident of Wichita Falls for many years working in the wholesale distribution business. After moving to Graham, he worked at Texas Recreational for a short time.

Survivors include; sons, Patrick McElreath and Steven McElreath both of Graham; two grandchildren; sister, Brenda Sutphin of Wichita Falls.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Deborah and a grandson, Steven McElreath, Jr.
