Guss McComack

Guss A. McComack, 37, died Wednesday September 23, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 10, 2026 at the Cowboy Church of Young County.

Guss was born August 5, 1989 in Brawley, CA. He moved to Loving in 2005 from Newcastle. Guss married Jessica Brown April 25, 2026 in Graham. Guss was a spirited person, one who lived life loud and proud. He never met a stranger and was well known for his willingness to help his loved ones. Guss had the greatest sense of humor and was always quick with a punchline. His playful antics came from a lifetime of practice and often included jokes he learned from his dad, whom he looked up to and loved greatly. Being funny came naturally to him. His energy and ability to bring about a smile have left an unforgettable footprint on all of those who knew him. He spent this past year living what he called “his dream,” happily married to the love of his life, Jessica, and basking in the world of being a dad to his only son, Colson, surrounded by friends and family—another aspect of life that meant everything to him.

Survivors include; wife, Jessica McComack of Loving; son, Colson Andrew McComack of Loving; parents, Lance and Rond McComack of Loving; mother, Donna Bass of Mississippi; siblings, Jerry Lewis McComack of Graham, Cynthia Dawn Guinn of Sommerville, Christopher Allen McComack of Loving, Brandi Nacole Anderson of Newcastle, Billie Russell McComack of Loving; three uncles and two aunts; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Guss was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald Lewis McComack, Marilyn Louise McComack, Doyle and Wanda Frazier.
