Hugh E. Molpus

Hugh E. Molpus, 89, died Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Graham. A memorial service will be held at a later date in his hometown of Portland, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mr. Molpus was born April 19, 1920 in Philadelphia, MS. to the late Henry and Ollie Bell Burnett Molpus. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He married Mary Pauline Sykes in 1943 in Toccoa, Georgia. She preceded him in death in 2003. Hugh moved to Graham in 2005 from Portland, Texas. He was a retired tool and die machinist for Reynolds Metal in Portland. He was a fifty year member of Portland Masonic Lodge #1411.

Survivors include; daughter, Janice Molpus of Graham; son, Eddie Molpus of Corpus Christi; sister, Hettie Davis of Jackson, MS.; one grandchild, Grant Molpus.
