James Archie Ward, Jr.

James Archie Ward, Jr., 95, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Many, LA.  Graveside funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday February 22, 2021 at Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, Texas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

James was born July 3, 1925 in Rotan, Texas to the late Nancy (Parker) Ward and James Archie Ward, Sr.  James married Laura Mae Cargill, January 12, 1944, she preceded him in death on June 14, 1980.  James was a longtime resident of Newcastle and a retired employee of Graham Magnetics.

Survivors include; daughters, Joyce Whitley of Holiday and Brenda Crawford of Many, LA.; son, Larry Ward of Sanford, NC; sisters, Gladys Hayes and Mildred Dehtan of Colorado City, TX.; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Sanders.
