James Carlton Hathcock

James "Jay" Carlton Hathcock, 82, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Tull of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

James was born on August 21, 1926 in Wichita Falls to the late Thomas and Pearl (Martin) Hathcock. He married June Davis on March 26, 1946 in Canyon, Texas. James retired from Pantex Plant in Amarillo as Security Division Manager and Nightshift Superintendent. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, a member of "The Bandits" Golf Organization in Amarillo, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Graham. James moved to Graham from Amarillo in 2000.

Survivors include; wife, June Davis Hathcock of Graham; daughter, Olivia Blankenship of Amarillo; son, Jay Hathcock of Lakeside, Arizona; sisters, Ollie Williams of Rockport, Texas and Abbie Campbell of Hesperia, California; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sister, Dana Davis, brother, Clifton Hathcock, and grandson, Jason Hathcock.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
