John Lee Ernst, Sr
John Lee Ernst, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
John was born January 13, 1935 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Oscar and Edna (McMahon) Ernst. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired Auditor for the Army at Fort Sill.
Survivors include: daughters, Gayla Beth Dodson and husband, Chuck of Lipan and Carla Pierce of Wichita Falls; sisters, Barbara Coufal of Farmington, New Mexico and Carolyn Schaffer and husband, Frank of Farmington, New Mexico; Anna B. McPherson of Lipan; sister-in-law, Margaret "Babe" Womble of Odessa; grandchildren, Charlie Dodson, Callie Dodson, Jerry, Chris, and Anna Pierce, Ricky Jr. and Anthony Arrendondo; 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, Johnny Lee Ernst, Jr., daughter, Nena Marie Arrendondo, sister, Betty Martin, and brothers, Jimmy Ernst and Everett "Bub" Ernst.
