John Robert (Bobby) Wilson passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, on his 90" birthday in Graham. Bobby was born January 11, 1936, in Archer City to the late Mary Alma (Hayley) Wilson and John Truette Wilson. He and Diane Bullock were married on July 10, 1959, in Wichita Falls. He graduated from Midwestern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. As the owner of Wilson Lumber Company in Graham for many years, he met numerous people and became friends with quite a few of them. He loved talking to people and always had a story to tell. All his life, he enjoyed staying busy and was often organizing, or participating in, competitive activities, such as boat racing in his early years to being very involved in the Graham Rifle & Pistol Club and their gun shoots in later life. He loved to hunt and fish and did so as often as possible. He was also a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Graham.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Diane Wilson of Graham; daughter Lee Ann Stansell and husband Dennis of Graham; sons Bobby D. Wilson and wife Tracy of Phoenix, AZ and Ben Wilson and wife Ana of Graham. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Jennifer Stansell Harding, six grandsons, Brady Stansell, Cody Stansell, Curt Wilson, Eric Wilson, Larry Cauthen, and Dakota Cauthen; ten great grandchildren, Gaven & Aiden Henderson, Archer, Harrison & Nona Stansell, Jordy, Darby & Decker Stansell, Carson Wilson, and Emma Wilson: as well as two nephews, Bobby Wolfe and wife Kimberly of Graham and Truette Wolfe, also of Graham.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Gettys Jo Wolfe and Cleo C. Wolfe.
Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 17, 2026 in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank all of the great employees at Elison Assisted Living and Solaris Healthcare/Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they gave to him. Each of them went above and beyond and for that, we will be eternally grateful.
