John D. "Jody" Youngblood

J.D. "Jody" Youngblood, 95, died Friday, April 17, 2009 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Morrison Funeral Chapel with Homer Youngblood of Millsap officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. Monday in Restland Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jody was born August 7, 1913 in Young County, Texas to the late John D. and Anna Belle Hunt Youngblood. Jody was a Superintendent carpenter for McGraw Construction in Dallas for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Leona Sybal Youngblood on September 25, 1985. Jody moved to Graham in 1986 from Dallas. He married Louise Riggins June 28, 1986 in Graham. Jody was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Survivors include; wife, Louise Youngblood of Graham; brothers, Homer Youngblood of Millsap and Jess Youngblood of Dallas; daughter, Marilyn McComack of Newcastle; sons, Bobby Riggins of Graham and Freddy Riggins and wife Patti of Graham; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
