Kent Goree

Leslie Kent Goree, 75, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026 at his home in Graham. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Kent was born February 12, 1951 in Graham to the late Clarence Lee and Ona Faye (Hinson) Goree. He married Lucy Furr August 22, 1970 in Graham and she preceded him in death August 4, 2024. Kent was a Chaplin for Hospice and loved talking to anyone and everyone about Jesus. He survived many near death experiences, car crash, heart attacks and spinal meningitis twice. Kent was always faithful to the Lord.

Survivors include: sons, Davy Ray Goree and Guy Neil Goree both of Graham; grandchildren, Caleb Ray Goree of Lumberton and Cash Riley Ward of Breckenridge; sister-in-law, Bonnie Goree of Graham.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Goree.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
