Lloyd Parker

Lloyd Nathan Parker, 62, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Graham, Texas.

Born on April 10, 1963, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Lloyd lived a life marked by faith, resilience, and a deep love for family and community.

Lloyd graduated from Graham High School and went on to attend Mid Western University for two years, where he continued to pursue his passion for music. A gifted trumpet player from a young age, Lloyd earned the prestigious State Chair for trumpet during high school and was known for his excellent musical performances. His dedication to music remained a central part of his life and identity.

Professionally, Lloyd held several managerial positions throughout his career. He served as Manager at United Grocery in Graham, Texas, and later managed The Dollar Store in Greenville, North Carolina. His final professional role was with Swanz Foods in Graham, Texas. In each position, Lloyd brought leadership and commitment that left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

Beyond his work life, Lloyd was a man of many interests and talents. He had an extraordinary gift for cooking—his culinary skills were often said to rival those of Julia Childs. Whether preparing meals for the elderly or hosting gatherings for family and friends, Lloyd’s kitchen was always filled with warmth and generosity. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin collecting, politics, and exploring caves—pursuits that reflected his curiosity about the world around him.

A devout Christian throughout his life, Lloyd’s faith was the cornerstone of his strength and compassion. He openly shared his love for the Lord with those around him and was always quick to lend a helping hand. His acts of kindness—whether through sharing food or offering encouragement—touched countless lives.

Lloyd will be remembered for his unwavering positivity even during difficult times. Despite health challenges in later years, he remained faithful and hopeful. His radiant smile and disarming sense of humor brought comfort to many. Those who knew him speak of a man whose love extended beyond family to embrace.

He was preceded by his brother Jimmy Parker, sister Carol Parker Sittig, sister Katherine Parker Greene and son Dustin Parker, and daughters Chelsie Parker and Ashton Parker.

He was predeceased in death by his mother, Eleanor Selby (March 20, 2005), and his brother, Charles Allen Parker (January 26, 2003) ,and many dear friends who will carry forward his memory with love and gratitude.

May Lloyd Nathan Parker’s legacy of kindness, faithfulness, and joy continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Though he is no longer with us in body, we take comfort in knowing we will be together again in the House of our Lord Jesus Christ.

There will be no funeral or memorial services for Lloyd Parker. His ashes will be laid to rest at the Graham Pioneer Cemetery next to his mom Eleanor Selby.
