Mabel C. Wells

Mabel C. Wells, 88, passed away Sunday May 21, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas.  A Graveside funeral will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Proffitt Cemetery in Young County.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  A Memorial service will be Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in North Fort Worth Baptist Church.

Mabel was born March 12, 1929 to Mabel Crain Wells and Hawes C. Wells in the Proffitt Community near Graham.  She attended school in Newcastle and received a Bachelor of Business degree from Hardin Simmons University.  She was a member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church and worked for many years in their Children’s Ministry.  She was the youngest of nine children and they each preceded her in death, as well as four nieces and nephews.

She is survived by 21 adoring nieces and nephews, numerous greats and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.
