Magrit Kopietz Jones

Magrit Kopietz Jones, 82, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 in Graham.  Funeral service will be Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Burial will follow Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy, Texas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Magrit was born May 30, 1936 in Wilhelmshaven, Germany to the late Konrad and Erna (Buttgen) Kopietz.  She married Richard Gene Jones, April 29, 1959 in Bremerhaven, Germany.  He preceded her in death on July 11, 1991.  She moved to Graham in 1975 from Bay City, Texas.  Magrit was a retired Unit Secretary at Graham Regional Medical Center.  She was a member of Graham Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include; daughters, Trish Chappell and husband Kelly, Sandra Faubus and husband Howard of Graham; son, Ronald Jones and wife Jo of McKinney; grandchildren, Kristen, Tim, and Nick Jones, Kirstyn Rhoades, Taylor and Keely Chappell; great grandchildren, Liam Jones and Paxton Rhoades.

Magrit was preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Chappell and a brother, Helmut Kopietz.

Family Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
