Margaret Fulbright

In Loving Memory of Margaret Celeste DeLong Norris Fulbright June 18, 1951 – August 26, 2026

Margaret Celeste DeLong Norris Fulbright, age 75, was called to her heavenly home on the morning of August 26, 2026. Born in Olney, Texas on June 18, 1951, to James and Lois (Smith) DeLong, Margaret lived a radiant life defined by deep Christian faith, an abiding love for her Savior, and a tireless, lifelong dedication to nurturing children and serving her community.

Margaret graduated from Graham High School in 1969 and later earned her degree from Vernon College in 2004, achieving her license as a Vocational Nurse (LVN) and Registered Nurse (RN). Throughout her life, she wore many hats—most proudly as a mother, daycare owner, and nurse. Her heart was especially tied to nurturing young minds and spirits; she served as a BSA and GSA leader and taught Preschool Sunday School and Children’s Church at First United Methodist Church of Graham for 37 years, impressively missing only 16 Sundays across nearly four decades.

A life verse and favorite saying that guided Margaret's daily walk was: One hundred years from now it will not matter what my house was—nor what kind of car I drove—nor how large my bank account was. But what will matter is that I MADE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD."

Margaret is survived by her children Chris Norris (wife Emily) of Graham, Angie Roznovsky (husband Kevin) of Cuero, Kenneth Fulbright (spouse Jayme) of Virginia. Brothers, David DeLong of Graham and James Andrew DeLong (wife Vicki) of Arizona, and Gloria Bragg. She was blessed with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She also leaves behind her kitties, Blackie, Tiger, and Meow.

She shared a special, lifelong friendship with her best friend, Edith Cole, whose friendship was a treasured part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fulbright, and her parents, James and Lois DeLong.

A celebration of life will be Friday, September 25th at 6pm at Heritage Methodist Church in Graham. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children’s Charities of your choice.
