Margie Ligon

Margie Wright Ligon, 92, passed away at her home in Graham Monday, September 1st, 2025. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Loving Cemetery in Loving.

Margie was born January 19, 1933 in Byers, Texas to Clarence David Wright, Sr. and Margaret Lynch Wright. She married Robert "Bob" Ligon in Wichita Falls on April 14th, 1951. He preceded her in death May 26th, 2005.

She graduated from Byers High School in 1950 and was a homemaker having been employed as a telephone operator, healthcare worker, and production worker at Mr. Fines and Haggar Slacks.

Survivors include daughter Debbie Martin and husband Jimmy of Graham, son Dennis Ligon and wife Kim of Loving, son David Ligon and wife Grace of Graham, 6 grandchildren including Steven Martin and wife Nee, Lakewood Village, Melissa Morales and husband Anthony of Lubbock, Adrian Ligon and wife Cheryl of Graham, Brittney Ligon of Loving, Phillip Ligon of Graham and Hannah Ligon of Dallas and also 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law Dorris Wright of Byers and Bobbie Ligon of Trophy Club and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ligon, her parents Clarence David and Margaret Wright, sisters Dorothy Garrett and Betty Haney, brothers Clarence David "Doc" Wright, Jr. and James Wright, and grandson Chad Hearne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graham Senior Citizens Center, Graham Meals on Wheels, Beyond Faith Hospice or your favorite charity.

Family visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
