Mary Bowen

Mary "Bee" Bowen, 91, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Graham. A Graveside funeral will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery near Decatur, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mary was born August 31, 1919 in Decatur, Texas to the late Grady and Corrie McCracken Keown. She married James Walter Bowen, Jr. in 1945. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2002. Mary was born and raised in Greenwood, Texas and moved to Fort Worth to work for North American Aviation during WWII making war equipment where she met her husband. She and Jim lived in Shreveport, LA. for many years and upon his retirement moved to Sherman in the early 1990's. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sherman.

Survivors include: niece, Teresa Dodson and husband Derrell of Graham; nephews, Charles Montgomery and wife Jeanette of Greenwood and Gary Montgomery and wife Carrolle of Bend, Oregon.
