Norma Ann Beisch

Norma Ann Beisch, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home near Windthorst, Texas on Monday, June 9, 2025. Funeral service will be Monday, June 16, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Markley Cemetery Schoolhouse, pastor Ryan Elms officiating, with burial immediately following in the Markley Cemetery.

Norma was born July 1, 1938 in Hobart, Oklahoma to the late Ivy Rhea (Parr) and Ernest Edward Block. She married Lee Alexander Beisch, Sr. on July 7, 1958 in Hobart, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death January 18, 2012.

Norma worked as a telephone operator when she met a young drilling rig hand, Lee (L.A.) who became her future husband. She learned a strong work ethic early in life and believed that family was always most important. She later worked as a hairdresser, bookkeeper for Beisch & Hanna Supply & Oil Co, and learned the art of creating many beautiful stained-glass pieces that cover every window and fill every room in her house. She loved being outdoors working in her yard and traveling with family and friends to Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. She spent many hours hiking and rock collecting, horseback riding, a Snake River float trip, scouring the antique and jewelry shops and plant nurseries on her travels, and even learned to snow ski with her grown children, did a bit of snowmobiling, and spent many fun trips with the entire family or just with “the girls”, enjoying the mountains. She was a member of Antelope Methodist Church, where her late son-in-law, Lonny Hawkins was pastor for many years, and she enjoyed her fellowship time with everyone there.

Survivors include: daughter, Joan Hawkins of Windthorst; son, Rusty Beisch and wife, Melanie of Windthorst; daughter, Diana Reeves and Otto Osterman of Houston; grandchildren, Candace Fish and husband, Logan of Edmond, Oklahoma; Emily Kirk and husband, Levi of Severance, Colorado; Allie Hill and husband, Michael of Lincoln, Nebraska; Alec Beisch of Windthorst; Eric Reeves and Brian Reeves of Houston; great-grandchildren, Jonah Fish and Miles Fish of Edmond; and Lenora (Nora) Kirk of Severance.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Lee (L.A.), her parents, her sisters, Hazel Roberts, Myrna Marlow, Rose Mary Stills, Linda Files, and brother, Edward Block, and son-in-law Lonny Hawkins.

Family thanks Hospice of Wichita Falls, Care Team of Wichita Falls and Falls Home Health for being such a blessing to Norma and the family during the past year.
