Oneida Stiles

Oneida Stiles, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025 at her home in Graham. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, July 2, at 2pm in the First Baptist Church of Graham.

Oneida was born May 30, 1934 in Kamay, TX to the late Roy C. and Licena Milford. She married Rev. James H. Stiles, Jr. on September 2, 1951 in Wichita Falls, TX.

Oneida and Jimmy led lives dedicated to Christ with a calling to bring others to Him. She served as a missionary in Bogota, Colombia, and helped start numerous churches in Texas, Wyoming, and South America. After returning from the mission field she served alongside her husband, first at Highland Baptist Church in Denton, TX; then in Salt Lake City, UT; and finally at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Cheyenne, WY, where she moved in 1987. She entered the workforce in Cheyenne, working for the State of Wyoming in the Department of Audit. She retired to Graham in 1995 where she has touched the lives of everyone around her. Oneida continued to support her husband at various churches throughout North Texas. She was artistic, and took great pleasure in hand making beautiful greeting cards for those she loved. Scrap-booking became a passion later in life as she documented the journey and growth of her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched and influenced.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Callison and husband, Edward of Northwood, IA; son, John Stiles of Henrietta, TX; granddaughter, Reina Johnson and husband, Todd of Providence Village, TX; granddaughter, Aeryn Stiles of Princeton, TX; and two great grandchildren, Brinly and Landry Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband James on September 21, 2017; also by her parents, her sister Frankie Pannel, and brothers Roy Milford and Garland Milford.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Samaritan's Purse or the Wounded Warrior Project.
