Pooch Williams

Pooch Williams, 81, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 in Olney. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Friday May 23, 2025 at First Baptist Church Newcastle. Burial will follow at Newcastle Cemetery.

Pooch was born January 3, 1944 in Newcastle to the late Johnnie Lee (Yarbrough) Williams and Jim Williams. He married Bevely Fox August 3, 1963 in Newcastle. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2014. Pooch was a lifetime resident of Newcastle and a Farmer and Rancher. He was the Owner of Williams Farms of Fort Belknap where he raised watermelons and coastal hay. Pooch was a member of First Baptist Newcastle, Newcastle Fire Department, Farm Bureau, and Young County Soil Conservation District.

Survivors include; daughter, Teresa Jones and husband Bear of Ft. Belknap; grandson, Casey Jones and wife Hayle of Haskell; three great grandchildren, Heston Tatum, Chandler, and Camryn Jones; brother and sister in-laws, Larry Sr and Mary Woodridge of Graham and Wayne and Glenda Cates of Fort Smith.

Pooch was preceded in death sisters, Ophelia Kessler, Frances "Rhea" Donohue, and Billie Jacobson; brothers, James Brooks, Guy Brooks, and Joe Brooks.

Family Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
