Sharon Huffman

Sharon Huffman, 80, of Graham, passed away Tuesday, May 11thin the loving care of Graham Oaks Care Center and BeyondFaith Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 15th at 9:00 AM at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham. A graveside service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held immediately following visitation at 10:00 AM under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home at Gooseneck Cemetery.

Sharon was born August 24, 1940 in Graham, Texas to the late John Wesley and Venita Loree (McQueen) Caldwell. She married Veldon Huffman on September 23, 1961 along the Brazos River in Seymour, Texas. Veldon preceded her in death on October 17, 1998. In addition to Sharon and Veldon’s one biological son, Ronnie Huffman, together, they raised and loved many as their own, especially their great nephew, Drew Huffman. Of all Sharon’s accomplishments, she was most proud of her family and would brag on them any chance she had. She was known as “Dee” to her most favorite people – her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her younger days, you could find her at the skating rink owned by her parents or working the front desk at Hair After with her sister and best friend, Martha. She later went on to work at Graham Magnetics for over 30 years until she retired. She loved all things Coca-Cola and if you knew her, you know she had quite the Coca-Cola collection. Sharon lived a simple, but sweet life. It didn’t take much to make her happy – a vanilla coke would do! She will be so missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Veldon Huffman, and sisters, Virginia Huffman and Martha Caldwell.

Sharon is survived by her son, Ronnie Huffman; her great-nephew, Drew Huffman and son, Drake Huffman; her granddaughter, Morgan Cross and husband, Quaid; and her great-grandchildren, Patton and Hogan Cross.

A very special thank you to the loving caregivers at Graham Regional Medical Center, Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Graham Oaks Care Center, and BeyondFaith Hospice in Graham. Thank you for loving and caring for our “Dee” until the very end.

The family requests that memorials be made to BeyondFaith Hospice, LLC, 604 Oak St #102, Graham, Texas 76450.
