Sherry Ford

Sherry Dale Burt Ford, known by all as “Nanny”, passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born September 5, 1953 in Graham, TX to Alvin and Gwen Burt. She married Michael Ford August 12, 1972.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bryson, Bryson Ex-Students Association and the Bryson Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a substitute teacher at Bryson ISD for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and word searches. She loved watching her kids and grandkids participate in their events and was their biggest supporter. She looked forward to her daily Sonic tea trips with her sisters. Cartoons and Christmas music could be expected all year around at her house. Her favorite treats were Little Debbies and Dr. Pepper.

Survived by: husband Michael Ford, daughters Mindy Wiedebusch and husband Carl of Bryson; Karen Goforth and husband Denton of Bryson; son Kyle Ford and wife Sherril of Graham; grandchildren Ashten Wiedebusch, Brady Wiedebusch and wife Meagan, Kacely Goforth, Evan Ford, Hallie and Madison Morgan and Riley Truesdell; Great grandkids Spencer and Hayden Wiedebusch; sisters Becky Walden of Bryson, Terry Dennis and husband Tony of Bryson; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by both parents and sister Sandra Tuel.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Finis Cemetery in Jack County.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tuel Ford Fighting Heart Scholarship, 309 North McCloud Street, Bryson, Texas 76427.
