Steve Roy Atchison

Steve Roy Atchison, age 79, passed away at his home in Eliasville on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at Eliasville Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Steve was born on January 28, 1944 in Graham to Lee Roy Atchison and Lois Evelyn (Langford) Atchison. He served in the United States Army. Steve was a true outdoorsman, when he was not working on a project with his two boys, or deer hunting with his granddaughter, he could be found checking his hog traps, or out at the river fishing. He was a farmer at heart and loved ranch life. More than anything, he loved his family and quality time spent with them was his favorite place to be.

Steve is survived by his sons, Roy Dan Atchison and wife Shaton of Eliasville, and Jason Don Atchison and wife Emily of Eliasville; grandkids, Katelyn, Kolten, Kally, Colton, Kassie, Jay Ross, and Jaylyn; great grandkids, Adelina, Blevin, Ellie, and Luna; and siblings, Helen Cook, and Ralph Atchison.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
