Sue Rogers

Sue Rawson Rogers, 82, passed away from complications related to dementia on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Graham. Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery.

Sue was born March 13, 1943, in Carthage, Mississippi to the late Hiley and Sarah (Parker) Rawson. Sue was known as ‘Gram’ to all the grandkids and she loved them all very much. Sue enjoyed vacations with family in Destin, Florida and was an avid duplicate bridge player achieving the title of ‘Grand Life Master’ with the American Contract Bridge League. After a 30-year career as a beauty shop owner and stylist, she embarked on a second journey as resident hair stylist at the Traceway Methodist Retirement Community, where she lovingly cared for the needs of the senior-age residents. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Graham Oaks Care Center and Solaris Health Hospice Services. The family also extends its heartfelt thanks to the employees of the City of Graham for their kindness, prayers, and support.

Survivors include: son, Eric Garretty (Graham City Manager) and wife, Tena; daughter, Frances Dye of New Albany, Mississippi; grandchildren, Justin Dye of Corinth, Mississippi, Murphie Garretty of Euless, Chastity Love of Houlka, Mississippi, Anna Grace Dye of Brandon, Mississippi, Davis Garretty of Graham; and great grandchildren, Jewell, Jennix, Jaxson, Sophie, Riggs, and Willow Rose.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
