Ollie “Tommy” Music was born on January 10th, 1927 in Shawnee, OK to James Bryan Music and Elizabeth Ewy Music (Davidson). He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bob Music, Gene Davidson and Raymond Davidson and his beloved wife of 67 years, Ruby Rae (Clinton) Music in 2015.
Tommy served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Japan during the occupation. He met Ruby at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. They made their home in Ponca City, OK where Tommy worked at Conoco until his retirement. They raised their three sons together, Bruce (Fran), Mark (Marilyn) and Tommy and had five grandchildren, Leanne Wells, Todd Music, Michelle Music, Melanie Dye and Melinda Yarbrough; seven great grandchildren, Blake and Landry Wells, Grant and Lane Randall, Asher and Reese Yarbrough and Mark Hollaway. Tommy was lucky enough to have been able to meet his great-great granddaughters, Sadie & Olivia Randall.
Tommy and Ruby returned to Ruby’s hometown of Graham, TX in 2009. After Ruby’s passing, Tommy moved to Cedar Park, TX to be closer to his son and grandkids. He lived at Highland Estates and then Maple Ridge Retirement apartments in Cedar Park where he had many friends with whom he enjoyed playing cards and putting together puzzles. He enjoyed his Wednesday lunches with Sadie and especially enjoyed the Randall’s fried chicken or Whataburger that Mark and Marilyn would bring them for lunch. When his grandkids and great-grandkids were in school, he enjoyed following their sports activities. Tommy and Ruby along with their son, Tommy raised and trained racehorses for many years; his prized paint horse being Easy Judge.
He will be missed by many friends and family.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Blue Sky Therapeutic Riding and Respite in Krugerville, TX.
