With profound love and reverence, we announced the passing of Vickie Little Milam-Milligan, who completed her end of life transition on June 5, 2025. Vickie lived a life rich in love, resilience, laughter and energy. Her legacy is etched in the hearts of those who knew her, and her absence will be profoundly felt. We were deeply, endlessly loved by her—and we know that so many of you were too. A mother, sister, aunt (*Bippie), client, curator, preservationist, painter, mentor and cheerleader for the underrepresented self-proclaimed black sheep—Vickie hopped, skipped and jumped to the beat of a different drummer. She knew how to cultivate, inspire and electrify creativity in the hearts of others. To know her is to love her. Her social media says it all “Fabulous. Practically perfect in everyway. Happiest woman on the planet! Let love in."
We invite all who knew and loved Vickie to join us in celebrating her life. Please bring your cherished memories and warm hearts as we honor her legacy together with gratitude for your love.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Vickie's memory. As an individual who was passionate about preservation and 40 years working on the go in economic development and grassroots organizations dedication to saving our heritage, America’s historic sites are as well—once they’re gone, they’re lost forever.
